Read Across America Info!
Euclid School is very excited to celebrate “Read Across America Week” from March 1st through 5th this year. In order to make this week a success, we would like to launch our reading activities now, so students have several weeks to complete them. Some of the activities we are offering are:
1. Tic Tac Toe Reading Board - Starting today, students will have several boxes they can choose from on this board. If they get 3 boxes in a row (diagonally, horizontally or vertically) they will earn tickets to participate in our Prize Raffe. If a student completes the whole board, 10 tickets will be earned! Mrs. Chiu will visit the classrooms each day to distribute tickets when the boards are completed. Virtual students will take a picture of their board and email Mrs. Chiu at Chiubet@hhschools.org. They will tell Mrs. Chiu which prizes they would like to put their tickets in, by looking at the prize book that is attached.
2. Euclid School Book Drive - Starting today, we would love to accept donations of books for Euclid School. New or gently used books will be appreciated. For each book donated, a bookplate will be placed inside the front cover of the book, recognizing the family that donated it. This is a wonderful way for your family to donate your favorite books for students to enjoy!
3. Read Across America Theme Week - From March 1st through March 5th students will be able to participate in a daily theme to celebrate reading.
4. Resources to use - Students will be encouraged to read books from the Hasbrouck Heights Public Library, e-books, audiobooks, RAZZ Kids, books from home or in the classroom. If they need to obtain a library card,
